Dr Luke Hughes-Davies

Luke Hughes-Davies qualified in Medicine from Oxford University in 1986 and then trained in general medicine in London before moving to the USA in 1990 where he specialised in Oncology, completing the Harvard Medical School residency program. He moved back to Cambridge UK in 1995 to do a PhD in the molecular genetics of breast and ovarian cancer and was appointed consultant oncologist at Addenbrookes Hospital in 2001. He has been involved in numerous trials of investigational cancer treatments, and is co-CI on the OPTIMA trial, which is investigating new and more accurate technology to select patients for chemotherapy.
